Having recently moved to Washington Heights from Manhattan’s upper east side, I was pleasantly surprised to find an excellent holistic health care practice right across the street from my home. I first started acupuncture treatments at Pinehurst Healing Arts in Washington Heights for an acute lower back spasm which left me nearly incapacitated. To my amazement, it was resolved in only two sessions. During those sessions Jeanne noticed my swollen feet and legs. I told her that I had suffered from lymphedema for nearly 50 years since the age of 18. In those years I had been seen by many physicians and specialists, all of whom said that the most that could be done was palliative. She suggested trying acupuncture and herbal medicine. After working with Jeanne on a regular basis using acupuncture, tui na massage and herbal medicine I am ecstatic with the results. At my annual check up my internist was startled to notice the dramatic difference in my feet and legs. The swelling had been diminished significantly. In the first course of treatments the swelling was up and down but persistence has paid off and I have now maintained that reduction in swelling and am able to walk for much longer periods of time pain free. The results that Jeanne has achieved with me are indeed remarkable.
